The Weekly Read #14, "The Universe Can Be So Complex"
Have you ever felt yourself coming down to the wire? Neck and neck with time itself? What happened? Did you accomplish your goal? Or did you fall short?
I tend to stress on the outcome of situations, but honestly, it doesn’t matter all too much either way. Let me tell you a story about a farmer that always helps me remember that…
---
There was once a farmer who lived with his son. And on one special day, the farmer bought a horse for that son of his. Everybody in the neighborhood came to him saying, “Oh, how great! This is such great news!” And the farmer replied, “Maybe.”
Then, while riding his horse, the son fell and broke his leg. And everybody in the neighborhood came to him saying, “Oh no… This is terrible. What terrible news.” And the farmer replied, “Maybe.”
A few days after the son had broken his leg, the army came to town looking for new recruits. After visiting the farmer’s home and rejecting his son due to his injury, the neighborhood once again came by saying, “What great news! That is wonderful!” The farmer replied, “Maybe…”

This story could go on forever. But you get it. We can never truly know what is good or what is bad for us. This whole life thing can be so complex. We just gotta accept what is!
Some days come a little easier than others, but either way we just gotta keep it moving. The bad times lead to the good ones. What is coming is better than what is gone.
I hope you are doing well. Keep going on whatever pursuit you are on. It’s all about the baby steps. That’s how we get to where we want to go. And don’t forget to give yourself a little grace. We could all use some.
